Arriving roughly eight months after the previous major release, this update doesn't introduce groundbreaking features but streamlines the development process with better performance, stability, and over 250 bug fixes.

Updated extension brings advanced underwater effects to Unity

Underwater Rendering is an extension for Stylized Water, a Unity add-on that provides stylized water simulation for a wide range of applications. The extension adds support for underwater rendering and visual effects in oceans, lakes, and ponds, and has now been updated for compatibility with Stylized Water 3. Both Stylized Water and the Underwater Rendering extension were created by technical environment artist Jonathan van Immerzeel, also known as Staggart Creations, who is known for several high-quality assets available on the Unity Asset Store.

Unreal Engine 5.6 has been released

Unreal Engine 5.6 has arrived, maintaining its regular cadence of major updates approximately every six months. This release comes with a strong emphasis on overall engine performance, aiming to help developers create larger-scale open worlds that run smoothly on current-generation hardware. ReSprytile - A free add-on to create retro tile-based scenes in Blender

ReSprytile is a Blender add-on that enables the creation of tile-based scenes directly within the software. It is a fork of the original add-on Sprytile, which was developed before Blender 2.8 and updated over time by various contributors to remain compatible with newer versions. The first update of 2025 for Cascadeur has been released. Sound Shapes - A new Unity tool for building dynamic audio zones

Sound Shapes is a new tool for adding dynamic audio zones to Unity game projects. Created by game developer Martin Hansen, it is designed to overcome some of the limitations of Unity's built-in audio system. With Sound Shapes, users can control how audio sources behave in the scene. Audio can intelligently follow the player using sound shapes based on meshes, paths, filled shapes, or multiple emission points. This makes it especially useful for sounds that span large areas, such as rivers, rainfall, or industrial machinery, where realistic simulation is difficult to achieve using traditional single-point sources.
