Developed by Fantacode Studios, the creator of several core gameplay systems such as shooter and melee combat, parkour, climbing, and rope swinging mechanics, this new asset expands the studio's collection of essential game-building tools.
With the FS Swimming System, developers can create experiences that allow players to swim both on the surface and underwater. The asset also includes supporting features such as treading water while idle and jumping or diving into water from elevated areas.
The system extends to AI characters, allowing for dynamic interactions such as enemies pursuing the player across bodies of water, while splashes and ripples respond naturally to both player and AI movement. Note that although players can dive and explore underwater environments, AI characters are currently limited to swimming on the surface.
The FS Swimming System is designed for easy setup. According to the developer, players and AI characters can be configured with a single click in the Unity Editor, and swimming speed can also be adjusted.
The asset is designed to work well with other core systems from Fantacode Studios, including FS Parkour, Melee Combat, and Shooting Systems. Regarding render pipeline compatibility, it supports all Unity pipelines: Built-in, URP, and HDRP.
