Tool and plugin developer Plox Tools has released a Steam Integration plugin designed to simplify the integration of core Steam features into Unreal Engine game projects.

The plugin supports a broad range of Steam functionality, including achievements, leaderboards, player statistics, cloud saves, and lobbies. It is designed to work out of the box, requiring only installation to enable access to Steam features. No complex configuration or server-side systems are required.

Built with simplicity and usability in mind, the plugin is production-ready and suitable for deployment in shipped titles. It functions as a structured abstraction layer over the official Steamworks SDK, managing initialization, lifecycle handling, callback routing, and data translation internally.

The plugin provides both a clean, unified Blueprint API and a complete C++ API for direct and low-level access. Each Steam feature is implemented as an independent subsystem, allowing developers to use only the functionality required for their project without depending on a monolithic API surface. All operations are fully asynchronous and include explicit success and failure handling.

The plugin supports Windows and macOS as both development and target platforms and is available under personal and professional licensing options.
