The Maxon Fall Release brings updates to Maxon One and introduces ZBrush for iPad. ZBrush is a powerful tool renowned for creating highly detailed 3D models and is widely used in fields such as film and animation, video games, and concept art.

According to Maxon, ZBrush for iPad delivers the full power of the popular 3D sculpting and painting software on the go, without sacrificing functionality. It features a fully reimagined interface and an advanced brush system. It also takes full advantage of the Apple Pencil capabilities, allowing users to sculpt, paint, and create in real time from anywhere.

The app's highly customizable user interface builds on the QuickMenu from the desktop version. This allows users to easily arrange sculpting tools for a personalized experience. Users can also customize actions for the Apple Pencil, such as double-tapping, or, in the case of the Apple Pencil Pro, squeezing, to frame a mesh or enable PolyGroup.

The iPad app offers many of the same tools and features as the desktop version, including a collection of proprietary digital sculpting brushes designed with real-world sculpting techniques in mind. Maxon also claims high performance, with the application capable of achieving high polygon counts depending on the iPad's memory and model. According to Maxon, the latest M4 iPad can handle up to 92 million polygons per mesh.

ZBrush for iPad is available for free on the Apple App Store. The free version offers a solid sculpting experience with an introductory set of 28 popular brushes and limited access to features like Dynamesh, SculptrisPro, ZSpheres, and ZRemesher. A monthly subscription at $9.99 or an annual subscription at $89.99 unlocks all features and provides access to over 200 brushes. Full functionality is also available with a subscription to Maxon One or the ZBrush plan for the desktop version.

Although ZBrush for iPad is the highlight of this Maxon Fall Release, updates have also been made to the Maxon One suite of software. This includes updates to Cinema 4D, Redshift, Red Giant, and Cineware, a plugin that acts as a bridge between Cinema 4D and other third-party tools. According to Maxon, these updates are intended to streamline workflows and enhance users' precision and control over tools and features.
